Around Liverpool

There are many places to visit outside of Liverpool also, and if you will learn that distances are quite small in England.

Manchester is a city just bigger than Liverpool, located at less than an hour by car or by train. It is situated at 56km (35 miles) East to Liverpool. The city has many museums to visit including the People's History Museum, The Museum of Science and Industry and the Manchester Jewish Museum.

London is situated 353km (219 miles) South East of Liverpool. The capital city of the United Kingdom has many attractions for any taste. There are also regular train schedules to London.

Chester is a small and tiny city located at 40 km from Liverpool by train. Along some tourist attractions like the Grosvenor Park and the Cathedral, Chester is really a nice place to visit for its variety of inns and pubs. It is a less agglomerated city, ideal for relaxing for a day.

West Kirby is an ideal destination for those looking to relax on the beach. Although the town itself has little attractions to offer to its visitors, the beach is wonderful ideal for windsurfing. Also, in West Kirby one can play golf or tennis.
